REPLENISHING CARE “HOME” CELLULAR REGENERATION SYSTEM FOR PUBLIC HEALTH AND CORPORATE WELLNESS STAKEHOLDERS
Posted by James G Comerford on Fri, 9 Oct 2020If you are a Public Health or Corporate Wellness Stakeholder we invite you to partner with RC&T in redefining population health paradigms, outcomes and norms.Lack of focus on maintaining and re-establishing cellular health is a fatal flaw that not only limits the effectiveness of traditional fitness and wellness programs, it dooms North American Health Care Systems to mediocrity. This flaw is an elephant in the room: reduced cellular health diminishes the body’s ability to perform and heal – creating a vicious
The Replenishing Care Home Fitness System
Posted by James G Comerford on Tue, 17 Oct 2017There is a fatal flaw hiding in virtually every fitness model that’s like an elephant in the room: it is the lack of focus on maintaining and re-establishing our cellular health! From elite athlete to someone trying to get fit, cellular health is vital – since reduced cellular health diminishes our body’s ability to perform and (more importantly) heal – laying the template for a vicious cycle in which improper healing causes (both) a further reduction in performance and increase in wear and tear injury (which
Be happy: we thought you'd be in a wheelchair
Posted by James G Comerford on Tue, 3 Oct 2017A Neurologist recently reminded me just how unusual my recovery from Guillain Barre Syndrome is: in fact he described it as a devastating illness and that most people cannot appreciate the true progress I’ve actually made. The Doctor went on to say that the GBS patients he’s cared for have not fared quite as well to say the least and asked for information on the technologies and methods - that have taken me from ascending paralysis at 40 to ascending fitness at 61. If you’re curious here’s my GBS story: in 1996 I went from runnin
What's your dad doing?
Posted by James G Comerford on Thu, 3 Aug 2017I recently attended my 31 year-old Son’s stag party. Having “retired” from drinking in 1985 my role ranged from celebrant, to father hen, to designated driver. It was wonderful to see Matthew’s friends (many of whom I’d known since their kindergarten days or had coached at some point) make a fuss over him. It was gratifying to see what fine young men they had grown into. What’s your dad doing? It was also gratifying to hear how many made comments about how fit I am to the effect: what’s your dad doing? The
First do no harm!
Posted by James G Comerford on Tue, 14 Mar 2017Imagine your car has just been serviced. You mention to the technician that you’ve noticed some engine knock. He/she responds by saying: funny you mention that. A rep was in this morning and gave me samples of a new engine oil. Studies show it may help reduce engine knock – though (I should tell you) it can cause up to 30 other problems and occasionally has been known to completely destroy the engine. I think we should try it! Sound absurd? Of course it does - for our cars! Yet this type of conversation
If you build it they will come!
Posted by James G Comerford on Thu, 22 Dec 2016It is with great joy we announce the opening of the first Replenishing Care Cellular Health Center in Niagara-on-the-Lake. As I look back on what has proven a 12 year journey I am reminded of the wonderful Kevin Costner movie Field of Dreams and its iconic mantra: if you build it they will come. In 2004 my dream became to create the clinic of the future so that those in need of better health options “would come” and have access to the best of the best. LIFE IS AS MUCH ABOUT JOURNEYS AS IT IS DESTINATIONS Not unlik

Doing so is the best investment you will ever make in your own wellness and/or that of your family, co-workers, athletes or others you care for, or about. I do not say this lightly nor arrogantly – nor meaning disrespect to methods you currently use. Replenishing Care is simply that much of a breakthrough! I am living pro
I will be faster and stronger (not OLDER) at 61 because of Replenishing Care
Posted by James G Comerford on Tue, 18 Oct 2016In September 2014 at age 58, I ran my first B&O Yorkville 5K Run in a time of 24:01 – good for first place in my age category. In September 2016 at age 60, I completed the Race in a time of 23:46 – good for second place in my age category. In September 2017 at age 61, my plan/goal is to complete the Race 3 minutes faster in a time of 20:45 or less – matching my personal best from 20 years ago and - which in the absence of a 60-something “rabbit” (whom I would not have caught even if I was 20-some
I ran and worked out 9 days after hernia surgery with Replenishing Care
Posted by James G Comerford on Thu, 28 Jul 2016On July 4, 2016 I had hernia surgery. The videos contained on the link chronicle my recovery: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uw8smon91jhsh1s/AAAPKpvK4KeJWXBbJJOjVqdQa?dl=0 I’d like to add: I’m not trying to compete with Jack Palance’s (RIP) 1992 Oscar acceptance speech merely illustrate (as he did) age is in the mind; If you’re not old enough to know who Jack Palance was, I “get” the videos may seem a bit repetitive and/or too long by normal social media standards. Elevating Personal Best Athletic Performance through the power of STACKING!
Posted by James G Comerford on Mon, 6 Jun 2016Few know the glory and privilege (or likewise the challenge and pressure) of being an Elite Athlete. But just about anyone who’s ever strapped on a pair of sneakers, cleats, skis, or skates has some degree of compete – and a sense of their personal best. Achieving and elevating personal best performance requires personal best wellness. This is among the reasons, RTI created the Clinic-in-a-Box which combines High-Powered Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy, Scar Tissue Therapy (STT), Pelvic Correction Technique (P
I'm fixed from Guillain Barre and Lifelong Anxiety because of using high-powered PEMF and other cellular-health technologies
Posted by James G Comerford on Thu, 17 Mar 2016I'm living proof it's possible to FAR exceed normal health outcomes if one has access to the right combination of tools: I’m fixed from Guillain Barre Syndrome. I define fixed from GBS as a 60ish man (once needing a wheelchair to go to Horton’s at age 40) working out and running daily, being pain and prescription drug free – and having a level of strength and endurance (for a “guy my age”) that astounded a 30ish triathlete when he helped me move house in October, 2015. There's a bonus: in FIXING the residu
Why don't we ever get "fixed"?
Posted by James G Comerford on Tue, 15 Mar 2016Our cars get fixed; our roofs get fixed; our lawns get fixed. But we never do. In fact, we are conditioned to think such an outcome is impossible. I “GET” we are aging, subject to toxins and various "wear and tear” stresses etc. – but the same can be said for our cars, roofs, and lawns. The standard of health care in Canada and the US is that it is normal for most people to be on a regimen of products who’s very advertising states to the effect: XYZ pharmaceutical may reduce (NOT FIX) some symptom while causi
The start of a 20 year journey I didn’t know I was beginning
Posted by James G Comerford on Mon, 22 Feb 2016In 1996, at age 40, I contracted Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS). In about 10 days I went from running 50 miles per week to not being able to stand for 50 seconds. In 2016 (soon to be 60) I run and work out daily, am pain and prescription drug free. If you’re familiar with P90X – I’m at P810X (or at least my own hybrid version of it). About a year and a half ago I finished first in my AGE category (“old guys”) in a 5K race with 750+ participants; in fairness there were 600+ younger and fit for their age folks behind
Up close and Personal with Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS): a patient’s story

The name on the front of the jersey matters a HELL of a lot more than the name on the back: Legendary Hockey Coach Herb Brooks (1937-2003)
Posted by James G Comerford on Mon, 22 Feb 2016The 1980 Miracle on Ice remains my favorite sporting moment of all time. It is hard to imagine any scenario that could match the achievement of a group of College Hockey Players (representing a Country not considered a hockey power in those days), defeating the world’s most dominant Team. Factor in the state of the world in 1980 – and, if there was ever such a thing as a “game transcending sport”, the Miracle on Ice was it. As a recently “retired” college goalie in 1980 it was both inspiring and nerve-wrack
What if Canada and the US were ranked 30th and 37th in Hockey?
Posted by James G Comerford on Mon, 22 Feb 2016Hockey has always been taken very seriously in Canada. With the growth of the game in the US (particularly after the 1980 Miracle on Ice) it is clear hockey is taken very seriously there too. So imagine if the International Olympic Committee (IOC) or International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) declared that “Canada and the US were ranked 30th and 37th respectively in Ice Hockey”. I think it fair to say: 30th place in hockey would never be allowed to happen in Canada! And given (perhaps particularly) the fervor of the Wo
Eating the Elephant in the Room - one bite at a time
Posted by James G Comerford on Mon, 22 Feb 2016When I needed it most, Canada’s Health Care System was there for me. At the time I was a self-employed, single parent dealing with the financial fallout of a divorce. The care needed to combat Guillain Barre Syndrome cost me $400. Yes, $400! And whatever anyone may say or think they have heard about delays and queues, I received hospital treatment immediately on 2 occasions. The care I received as Guillain Barre "presented" was equally prompt and caring: my family doctor fitted me in with "no" notice several times
A guy "my age"......
Posted by James G Comerford on Mon, 18 Jan 2016I turn 60 in May. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of my being diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS). I work out daily, take no medications and am pain free. In 2014 I finished first in my AGE category in a 5K race with 750+ participants; BTW: there were 600+ younger and fit for their age folks behind me too. Very recently I was involved in 2 moves with the aid of people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. A 30ish tri-athlete (whom I was REALLY glad to see) kept commenting on: how surprised he was
What's in a Paradigm?
Posted by James G Comerford on Tue, 3 Nov 2015I spent 15+ years as an organizational effectiveness consultant; among the most illuminating discussions in moving organizations forward was the Power of Paradigms by Joel Barker. Simply defined: paradigms are a set of strongly held beliefs that act as filters in the way we perceive people, places, information, and events. Things that match our paradigms are quickly accepted into our thinking; things that don’t match our paradigms tend to be rejected. Thus paradigms affect how we see and respond to things a
If your car won't start today are you going to add more oil?
Posted by James G Comerford on Thu, 29 Oct 2015Most of us have had the experience of a car that won’t start or turnover; instinctively we reach for booster cables – knowing that without proper electrical charge the car cannot work properly. The human body is comprised of trillions of cells – which mirror batteries. Each cell produces and relies on electrical current to properly do what we need them to do (whether it’s enabling us to think, digest food, keep our hearts beating or make repairs etc). Loss of this cellular-electric-charge is the beginning of the dise
Get your jump back
Posted by James G Comerford on Sun, 18 Oct 2015Elite athletes describe jump as the capability/drive to explode off the line, burst into an opening, or win a foot race etc. Descriptions of talent often include the ability to anticipate where the openings will be and when to break. For most athletes this innate acceleration, or power, erodes over time. While the wisdom of experience helps fill this void - in most sports there is no substitute for speed, quickness, and power. Optimal performance comes when experience and jump work in concert. This is the formu

PEMF as the foundation of an integrated model like Replenishing Care
Posted by James G Comerford on Tue, 6 Oct 2015Guillain Barre Syndrome affects about 1 in 100,000 people. After making a recovery far beyond what doctors expected, but still dealing with troubling residual issues years later, I was told by the Attending Neurologist (whom I’d known since we were 6 years old) consider yourself lucky Jim, we thought you’d be in a wheelchair. The truth is I do consider myself lucky where GBS is concerned as my search for answers to full recovery ultimately led to the creation of Replenishing Care - a turnkey, standardized client care syst
Like a fish on dry land!
Posted by James G Comerford on Tue, 29 Sep 2015I will never forget the morning I sat in my hospital room, needing a break from the food (sorry Eastern Health!) and realized I would need a wheelchair to escape to the Tim Horton’s in the lobby. I was 40 years old at the time: - in about 30 days I had gone from running 50 miles per week to not being able to stand for 50 seconds. -I had Guillain Barre Syndrome (and I would learn later) doctors feared I would have it long-term. Yet 9 months later I ran my only 26.2 mile marathon. Everyone rejoiced except me: I knew there were things
